Berks County, Pennsylvania painted pine Bucher box, 19th c. , the lid inscribed U. Fiescher , with overall decoration of red and green flowers on a black ground, 2 1/2" h., 9 1/4" w., 8 1/4" d. For further reference, see Garvan Pennsylvania German Collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art pg. 11. A similar example was sold in the Henry Deyerle collection, Sotheby's, May 1995, lot 586.
