Chinese, Ming Dynasty Xuande Period mark (1426-1435), likely 20th century. A modified meiping form porcelain vase, of traditional form but for a flaring round foot and rounded lip to mouth, with large cobalt blue underglaze five-clawed scaly dragon to body amid cloud scrolls with five outward facing dragon masks to shoulder, the foot with a band of elongated lappets. Marked to shoulder with four character mark for Xuande imperial reign. Approximate height 20.25", diameter 12.25".
