Chinese export famille rose porcelain oil lamp body decorated with hand painted enamels with shaped medallions with figures - some portrayed playing music, gathering, playing games, or studying scholarly scrolls, surrounded by precious objects including scrolls, kites, fans, and words amid flowers on white ground, highlights in gilt throughout, body mounted with gilt bronze elements with scrolled, shield and berry motif at top and on base, oil lamp button marked with "M.K. & Co. BERLIN". Overall approximate height 15.7", diameter of base 9.5".
