Laurie J. Lea (American (Georgia/New York), Contemporary), "Stroke in Time 6"-2001, mixed media on paper, signed lower right. Modern non-representational work depicting an expressive black undulating thick paintbrush mark running from top to bottom edge of sheet with black and brown textured raised accents. Framed approximately 18" x 14". Sight size of sheet floating in frame approximately 13.5" x 9.75". Note: Lea has exhibited nationally and internationally. She won the 1972 Purchase Award from the Georgia Arts Council and later moved to New York to create public art installations for the Brooklyn Arts Council and New York State Council on the Arts.
