Continental School, 19th century. Hand carved and polychrome wood and gesso figural wall sculpture in the form of a winged angel or cherub with short black curled hair , brown glass eyes on face with rounded cheeks and pleasant expression, arms out stretched with feathered wings, red modesty draped cloth running diagonally across lap, and bent knees with bare feet. Unmarked. Sculpture with later wire loop on back for mounting on wall for display. Overall approximate height 16.25â€, width 15â€, depth 7â€.
