Continental, 20th century. A pair of cast and polychromed plaster Neoclassical style wall medallions or ceiling medallions of domed round form with a central gilt florette surrounded by concentric rings of gilt scrolls and acanthus leaves in relief, with an outer band of downward facing arched recesses interspersed with florettes in relief, the whole accented with background paint in terra cotta red and dark green. With modern suspension hanging mechanisms to back of each unit. Each approximate diameter 27.625". Depth of plaster approximately 6". Overall depth (with hanging hardware) approximately 8".
