Probably French, late 19th/early 20th century. Matched set of four Louis XVI style parcel gilt and polychrome decorated side chairs each having a leafy floral carved cresting over an acanthus carved pierced back centering an oval padded back between ribbon carved stiles, the bowfront padded seat having a ribbon carved rail raised on front turned, tapered and fluted legs headed with patera blocks and terminating on sabots. The back and seat covered in emerald green velvet and secured with large decorative copper colored tacks. Approximate height 41", width 20.5", seat depth 18", seat height 17.5".
