Louis XVI inspired gilt metal mounted stained and veneered chest of drawers or commode surmounted with an arched frame centered with a scrolled ribbon tied berried laurel and acorn with oak leaf cresting over a conforming applied waterleaf banding and beveled mirror plate flanked by uprights with applied gilt metal ribbon tied floral swag above a beaded panel the chest with three short over two long drawers, all decorated with matched veneer with gilt metal banding and decorative French style escutcheons and drawer pulls, all drawer with individual locking mechanisms stamped 'Eagle Lock Company Terryville, Conn'. The whole raised on toupie style feet. The back of chest with impressed number ''9518'. Approximate height 73.5" width 54.6", depth 23.6".
