Probably Scottish, circa 1880. Large Victorian mahogany tall chest of drawers having a rectangular top with projecting corners over a secret ogee frieze drawer and hat box drawer centered by a side a pair of short drawers, the other a deep drawer simulated as a pair above three graduated long, deep drawers, all flanked by applied scrolling acanthus and trailing fruit, the whole raised on flat bun feet. All drawers housing individual locking mechanisms and wood turned pulls. Approximate height 53.12", width 48.4", depth 21.12".
