French, second half 20th century. Possibly from the Vallauris region of France, a large modern pottery vase of trumpet form with graduated ring foot issuing an elongated pear shaped body and flaring floriform rim, allover with green to pink tin glaze and adorned with patinated bronze sculptural tree branch with berries or acorns and large marquis shaped leaves, the branch secured to the vase at neck with coiled bronze rope, with a bronze dragonfly applied to vase body to right of branch. Vase to a fitted gilt bronze stand secured to underside of body. Apparently unmarked. Overall approximate height 35", depth (including bronze mount) 8", width 7".
