Continental (possibly Russian or French), 20th century. A pair of cold painted bronze sculptures depicting dogs, likely Pugs or Boston Terriers, seated resting on back haunches with straight front legs, the female dog wearing a golden ruffled bonnet tied under her chin, and the male dog wearing a golden bow tie and a pointed hat with upturned brim similar to a Karakul or the medieval relic known as "The Lappvattnet Hat". Each bronze mounted to an integral black marble plinth with white veins. Unmarked. Male approximately 14.25" x 6.375" x 10.625". Female approximately 13" x 6.375" x 10.625".
