Possibly French, late 19th century. A matched pair of Louis XVI style mahogany and gilt metal mounted twin beds having an arched headboard centered with a scrolled ribbon tied berried laurel and acorn with oak leaf cresting flanked by foliate finials over applied gilt metal anthemion and ribbon tied floral swag above a beaded panel enclosing the veneered headboard with applied water leaf banding. The footboard decorated en suite with applied ribbon tied floral swags to the exterior, joined by side rails, resting on toupie feet. Approximate height 50.12" width 43.25", depth 81". Interior depth 77.5", width 38.6".
