French, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Empire style patinated bronze figural five-light candelabra with crane standing balanced on one thin leg above turtle encircled by radiating tapered arms holding five candle cups with leaf, undulating vine, and berry cluster motif above a tapered and fluted columnar shaft with leaf tip motif at top and bottom, draped chains on arms, tripod base with stylized lions or gryphon terminating on lion’s paw feet, alternating with large Prince of Wale feathers above rosette, S scrolls and palm frond with beaded leaf tips. Apparently unmarked. Overall approximate height 24.2”, diameter (across candle arms) 9.1”.
