American School, late 19th/ early 20th century. "Portrait of a Pastor", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Formal portrait painting depicting pastor or preacher at bust length wearing traditional black robes with clerical cravat (white square collar) and holding a small book at his chest, likely a Holy Bible or hymnal, the figure with shoulder length brown hair and rosy cheeks. Framed approximately 30" x 25". Unframed approximately 27" x 22".
