A map of the United States (including the Great Lakes and part of Canada, Mexico, Central America, and Cuba) after the Compromise of 1850, with the newly created state of California (added to the Union as a free state), with the boundaries for the Territory of New Mexico and Utah, with title medallion depicting formal bust portrait of George Washington with eagle crest and upswept acorn and oak branch swags, with early rendition of the Capitol building in Washington, with key in upper right quadrant, with inscription "Published by Case Tiffany & Company 1851".
