Austrian, late 19th century. Court or dress sword with gilt brass lion's head pommel above mother of pearl veneered grips opposite twisted serpent amid oak leaves , clamshell guard with Imperial Austrian coat of arms with double headed Hapsburg eagle. Sword with straight single edged blade (likely replacement and not original to work) with engraved foliates and military objects, marked on one side "Geo Solsi", the opposite side "Milano". Length of blade approximately 32". Overall length approximately 36.75".
