Philadelphia mahogany chest on chest, ca. 1750 , the upper section having a broken arch pediment with carved rosettes, flanking an applied shell carving, above eight drawers, resting on a base, with three long drawers supported by bold ogee feet, with reeded pads. The carving in the tympanum may be attributed to the workshop of Nicholas Bernard. There are extensive shadow lines and tack holes that evidence the now missing applied, trailing streamers, 92 1/2" h., 44" w., 23" d.
