"For Prayer and Meditation" - circa 1940, drypoint etching, artist's proof, pencil titled lower left beside "Proof #1", pencil signed lower right. Etching depicting an industrial complex overtaking a hillside, the foreground with pedestrians to sidewalk and filled with tall brick buildings with various signs or inscriptions including "Selective Service Local Board 15", "O Almighty and Everlasting God", and "Plaza (Fi)eld Follies", the background with domed buildings, silos, antennae, and walls. Sheet size approximately 11" x 13.5". Image size approximately 9" x 11". Provenance: By descent from artist to private collector whereby acquired at Kaminski Fine Art Auctions, Beverly, Massachusetts as lot 8064 on November 22, 2013.
