Gualberto Rocchi, (New York, California / Italy, born 1914- ), "The Priest and the Angel"-1978, patinated bronze, incised on base with "ROCCHI" beside date. Two piece bronze figural group table top sculpture depicting a young winged angel standing with hands clasped in front of body, eyes, closed and head tilted up facing a cleric or priest wearing hat and large cross necklace leaning over and inspecting the young heavenly angel. Base of priest incised "ROCCHI 78". Priest approximate height 6.5", base measures 3.5" x 2.75". Angel approximate height 4.25", base measures 2.3" x 1.6".
