Ben Smith (American (Atlanta, Georgia), 20th century). "Ceremonial Figure with Red Sticks" - 1978, monumental woodcut on paper laid down on board, limited edition 18/40, pencil titled, signed, and numbered upper right. Over life size figural woodblock print depicting a standing male figure draped in black with wild dark hair and enormous red bindi to forehead, with two long red sticks in each hand held before his body, and a long necklace with fetishes around his neck. Overall approximately 78.5" x 47.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of the artist, Ben Smith of Atlanta, Georgia.
