Russian, late 19th/early 20th century. Faberge (Russian, founded 1842) style engraved silver egg box. Box has ovoidal egg form with engraved XB (Cyrillic for “Christ is Risen”) decorated with three bulbed flowers, with gold wash interior. Stamped on interior bottom with 84 zolotnik indicating silver, with head facing left indicating production prior to 1908, with a third indistinct mark; with maker's mark in cyrillic likely for Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin. Approximate height 2.25", approximate diameter of egg opening 1.5". Total approximate weight 43.8 grams.
