A Renaissance carved oak wood figural pilaster depicting the Theological Virtue of Charity, the draped female figure holding a nude infant to her neck with a toddler grappling at her knee and figure standing on a short rectangular base and topped by a bulbous floriform capital. Approximate height 19", width 4.125", depth 2.5". Provenance: acquired by the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia from B. I. Howard Antiques, Somerset, England on June 15, 2003.
