Chris Hawthorne (American, b. 1953), contemporary. A blown out large open glass bowl or platter having a free form shape created with a compatible blend of shading colors in amethyst and teal blue with a slightly iridized surface and spectrum of other colors and optical effects utilizing elements such as murini, cane shards, powder and frit, the underside decorated with eight leafy ribs. Acid etched signature to the base 'Hawthorne' and numbered 'PB93971'. Approximate height 9", width 26.12", depth 22.25". _x000D_
