French, circa 1815 with restoration. An Empire mahogany and ormolu mounted daybed or lit en bateau having a front concave rail centered with ormolu anthemion and rosette appliques joined to the front turned low post and surmounted at each post with a gilt bronze foliate cap issuing an urn, the tall back turned posters surmounted with a gilt wood carved vasiform applique with leafy finial, the whole resting on block legs and tapered cylindrical dome feet on casters.
