Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A matched pair of Haitangzun vases or Begonia shaped porcelain vases, each with four finely hand painted figural scenes on tondo to bulbous portion of body consistent in shape with the bodies' lobes depicting courtly figures in a purple mountainous landscape that continues across the cartouches which are separated with gilt ruyi scroll borders, the incurvate neck with further figural cartouches under a flaring quatrefoil rim, the flaring foot with wide landscape cartouches to either wide side, the remaining vase ground covered in light blue or teal glaze with chicken skin texture and gilt scrolls. Unmarked. Approximate height 11", width 5.25", depth 4".
