Continental, probably Austrian, 19th century. Biedermeier style maple wood hall five-seat hall bench having a serpentine crestrail over a foliate carved horizontal splat, each end with down-scrolled carved arms enclosing the padded seat and straight apron raised on ten slightly cabriole legs. Approximate height 35.12", width 74.5", seat depth 20", seat height 20".
