Italian, 19th century. Rococo polychrome and parcel gilt decorated wood chaise longue having a curved upholstered backrest with pierced carved rocaille cresting and downswept molded sides over a scrolling and pierced carved apron raised on cabriole legs headed with opposing C scroll and trailing bellflowers terminating on scroll toes. The whole outlined with parcel gilt and polychrome decorated with colorful floral bouquets and alternating painted panels of green and mustard. Approximate height 33", width 75", depth 29", seat height 15.75".
