German, early 20th century. A five piece sterling silver tea service comprising a coffee pot, a tea pot, a lidded sugar, a creamer, and a handled serving tray. Each service piece with an acanthus leaf scroll band, octagonal foot, and loop form handle with acanthus scroll ends. The rectangular tray with chamfered corners, square handles, and acanthus scroll accents. Underside of each piece marked "sterling" "handarbeit" "925" and with unknown maker's mark "WL". Tray approximately 23.5" x 13.5". Teapot approximate height 11". Coffee pot approximate height 8.75". Creamer approximate height 6.5". Sugar approximate height 6.5". Total approximate weight 143 troy ounces.
