Spanish, 17th century. A pair of carved and polychromed small doors, likely originally for a small exterior window or interior cabinet, one side with painted scrolls, acanthus leaves, and volutes, and the other side carved in high relief with arched section below two flower blossoms and an acanthus leaf at center. The doors with fitted interior edges, iron locking hardware and hinges. Overall approximate height 26.5", width 17.375". One panel approximate width 8.5", the other 8.875". Provenance: acquired by the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia from Joanna Booth Antiques, London, England on July 18, 1981.
