Joseph and Edward Bradbury (Sheffield; registered 1863); trading as Thomas Bradbury & Sons, circa 1866. A fine four piece sterling tea service comprising a coffee pot, tea pot, sugar and cream jug. The pots with scrolled engraved handle and domed lid centered with turned and beaded finial, the cream jug with lovely cast shell scroll spout and the double handled sugar both having gold vermeil interior. All four pieces having a leafy tendril scrolled 'S' monogram and bright cut decorated all over with bands of beading and chased with repeating guilloche motifs. Each piece marked to the underside with British Registry design mark dated November 22, 1866 and further hallmarked for the makers Joseph and Edward Bradbury. Approximate height of coffee pot 10", base diameter 4.8". Approximate weight 28.45 troy ounces. Approximate height of tea pot 7.4", base diameter 5.25. Approximate weight 24.76 troy ounces. Approximate height of sugar bowl 5.25", base diameter 4.25". Approximate weight 12.12 troy ounce. Approximate height of cream jug 5.12", base diameter 3.12". Approximate weight 8.31 troy ounces.
