British, 19th century. A rectangular carved oak wood heraldic plaque depicting the shield form coat of arms of the Watts Clan at center with carved lettering at top "Georg II Watts de Uffington in Co. Berks Cler" (likely referring to George Watts (d.1810) the Vicar of Uffington in Berkshire, Chaplain at Dominique, and Vicar of Catmer) flanking a greyhound or whippet dog at center holding an arrow, and oak leaf and acorn decoration at bottom. Approximately 11" x 7.125". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
