English, 18th century. A group of 12 near matching wavy-edge London pewter plates of five-lobed form, apparently from several different makers, each plate of round form with reeded shaped edges and rim over a round shallow bowl. Each plate with impressed marks to underside, most with crowned X or X under a rose, many with further unknown or indistinguishable maker's marks, some also with "LONDON" in relief. Each approximate diameter 8.875".Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
