Bill Rane (American (New Mexico)/ Mexican, 1927-2005). "Undersea Figure", oil on wove paper, signed lower right. Whimsical painting in oil depicting a seated nude female figure with bulbous breasts and full arms, her face in profile framed by black ringlets of hair, surrounded by shells and tile patterning in blues and greens, the composition with painted rectangular vignette with scrolling pattern. Framed approximately 33.125" x 25.375". Sheet size approximately 30" x 22.25". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
