French, probably Normandy, late 18th/early 19th century. Louis XV style gray painted Buffet a Deux Corps, the egg and dart carved serpentine cornice above a conforming case with ribbon carved molding and paneled frieze centered with medallion enclosing carved ribbon tied bouquet, over two lappet carved cabinet doors, each inset with a grilled inset panel and a shaped panel carved with lovebirds and fernery, opening to a shelved interior and centered by a grille inset lappet carved center stile, the lower section fitted with two lappet carved cupboard doors, each inset with a shaped foliate carved panels with egg and dart molding, centered by a leafy carved center stile, over a scroll carved apron raised on slightly curving front cabriole legs. Approximate height 85.5", width 54.5", depth 18.75".
