Armin Landeck (American, 1905-1984). "Shadowed Street (Minetta Lane)" - 1947, drypoint etching and engraving, edition of 100, pencil signed and dated lower right margin. A crisp and dark impression depicting a barren New York City street at sunset from a diagonal angle, with tall buildings across the street from the viewer, at center an alley opening topped by an iron arch, at left at the street's end another bank of buildings with the setting sun peeking over the top, the building facades overlaid with intense cast shadows from surrounding structures including a cross at center. Paper label to verso "Kennedy & Co. Rare Prints, 785 5th Ave., New York". Framed approximately 14.25" x 20.25". Image size approximately 8" x 14".
