French, 18th century. A matched pair of giltwood, gesso and tole single light mirrored sconces or girandoles having a cartouche shaped backplate carved with c-scroll, diaper with florets and rocaille ornamentation enclosing a small looking glass, the base with acanthus scrolled tole candlearm surmounted with hand hammered candle cup and candlesleeve (later), electrified. Approximate height 17.5", width 13.25", depth 11.75".
