Flemish, mid to late 16th century. Detailed hand woven tapestry textile panel with a complex composition depicting architecture in background flanked by leafy green trees, male figures on horseback and on foot with pointed spears and accompanying by hounds hunt a horned bull , foreground with courting couples, woman playing mandolin and standing man conversing with young woman. Tapestry with leaves, flowers and small animals throughout including rabbit in lower left corner. Overall measures approximately 84" x 67". Provenance: Joanna Booth, 247 Kings Road, Chelsea, London, England whereby acquired by Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia in April of 2005.
