Large, vertically-aligned, highly detailed, hand woven vedure garden tapestry in blue, green, yellow and red with a number of animals including a spotted giraffe, undulating snake or serpent with protruding forked tongue, a deer, a monkey latched to base of a tree trunk, a rhino, and other woodland creatures in lush garden or forest setting with trees, plants, flowers and grasses, winding small stream or creek receding into background with figure on foot bridge, figures in long architectural arcade of palace at back center, two animals play fight at back left, scene flanked by tall trees bearing fruit and housing birds, view of village kingdom at top amid rolling hills and landscape depicting buildings with sloped red roofs under calm sky. Apparently unsigned. Work contained within dark blue borders. Overall approximately 142.75" x 96". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
