Carlo Battaglia (Italian, 1933-2005). "d'Oltremare Quattro (Overseas #4)" - 1982, egg tempera on canvas, signed, titled, dated, and media listed to verso. Monumental modernist abstract painting in shades of pink, ochre, and aqua blue embodying the feeling of overlooking the open ocean with small fields of color in loose chevrons as waves or ripples in the water being smaller at the top of the canvas and growing toward the bottom. Gallery wrapped canvas approximately 78" x 65.875".
