Continental, Early 19th century, circa 1802. A continental oak carved coffer or trunk having a rectangular double paneled top centered with the initials 'CK' and dated 1802 beneath a carved six petal rosette, the hinged lid opening to void interior with locking interior box to upper right, the double paneled front also decorated with six petal rosette raised on stile legs. Approximate height 26.75", width 45.8", depth 19.25".
