Painting depicting winter cityscape, likely in Paris, France, divided road with automobiles traveling in either direction extends from the foreground, the road is lined on its left with bare trees and a river with two bridges runs parallel to the street just beyond the tree line, the road is lined on its right with buildings in front of which pedestrians shuffle along the sidewalk and cross the street, the road splits in the center of the canvas at a small, snow-dusted road verge with a civic statue and disappears into the vast cityscape that largely occupies the mid-ground, in the background blue skies can be seen over the many rooftops. Framed approximately 25" x 21.75". Unframed approximately 16.125" x 13". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
