Coalport Porcelain Manufactory (England, 1795-1967), fourth quarter 19th century. A fine dessert service comprising eight dessert plates, two circular handled serving dishes, a square handled serving dish and a tall compote or tazza, each having a gilt beaded and scalloped rim, cobalt blue band decorated with gold scrolls white ground with gilt scrolling motif in the center. Each piece bearing the Coalport standard crown mark in underglaze green along with retailers stamp for Stonier & CO, 78 Lords Street, Liverpool. Each piece also marked in red X-2577, 41. Approximate diameter of dessert plates 9". Approximate height of handled dishes 1.75", width 11.5" (handle to handle). Approximate height of square dish 1.75", width 11.5" (handle to handle). Approximate height of tazza 5.5", diameter 11.75".
