Birth and Baptismal Fraktur for Jacob Schafer, attributed to Conrad Trevitz, May 12, 1793, designed as a large central heart surrounded by tulips and flowers, (toning, minor losses), 11 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. (sight), in a pinned mortise-and-tenon grain-painted frame. Provenance: William Koch Collection. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Paper restoration and in-painting to the yellow tip of the tulip at the top left corner, the left leaf of the tulip at the center of the left edge, the leaves of the tulip at the center of the right edge, and to a couple small spots in the work "Schafer." Scattered tiny losses around the perimeter of the sheet, sheet toned, some soiling. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
