Watercolor and Pen and Ink Birth Fraktur for "Susanna," Frederick Kuster, c. 1810-20, designed as a central reserve with squiggle borders, flanked by ceramic pitchers issuing flowers and surmounted by eagles with Union shield-form bodies, all above the lower register with birds flanking a bush, signature of the artist below, (minor fading, some apparent creases or tears), 11 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. (sight), in a period black-painted frame. Note: Suzanna lived in Derry Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Estimate $2,000-3,000 Numerous repaired paper separations, restoration to paper at upper left corner. Minor toning, scattered spotting.
