Birth and Baptism Fraktur for Samuel Stover, Reverend Henry Young, Center County, Pennsylvania, 1829, the English inscription within a neoclassical construct flanked by allegorical figures of Truth and Hope, (paper stained, wrinkled, and with apparent repair), 15 1/4 x 12 1/4 in. , matted, in a modern painted frame. Provenance: Ray Meade. Estimate $800-1,200 There is a 1 in. high by 1/4 in. spot of paper restoration on the right edge of the sheet and a few other very small spots of restoration along the edges, but no apparent in-painting.
