Small Blue-painted Bucket Bench, early 19th century, with shallow top shelf above shaped sides with peaked cutout joining two shelves, old gray/blue-painted surface, ht. 46, wd. 31 1/2, dp. 10 1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased at a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, farm auction in the late 1980s. Estimate $600-800 has an old and mellow worn surface. The bench does wobble a little bit, though it remains solid, and held large stoneware pieces in the consignor's home. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
