Condition: Cleaned, two butterfly joints on reverse. Provenance: Anthony Picadio, Brock Gallery of Art, Massachusetts. Literature: This painting is illustrated and discussed as plate 25 in the catalog for Joseph Hidley Folk Artist, a 2019 exhibition at the Albany Institute of History and Art. In the catalog entry, it is reported that this panel was installed in the space under a window "in the John and Sarah Abbott house, located on Route 2 between Eagle Mills and Clum's Corners, New York."
