Queen Anne Walnut Inlaid High Chest of Drawers, Massachusetts, c. 1730-50, the upper section with flat cornice with integral hidden drawer, above fan-inlaid, string-inlaid, concave, and thumb-molded short drawer flanked by four small drawers, the four graduated drawers below, set into lower section of long drawer and three short drawers, the central of which is similarly fan-inlaid and concave, all on a flattened arch cutout skirt joining four cabriole legs ending in pad feet, replaced brasses, old dry surface, ht. 72 1/2, lower case wd. 37 1/4, lower case dp. 20 1/2 in. Estimate $6,000-8,000 shrinkage cracks to case sides, patches and losses to thumbmolding, patch to knot in lower case right side. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
