Walnut Tall Case Clock, Jacob Godshalk, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1770-80, the hood with a flat cove-molded cornice and square glazed door with four engaged columns opening to a brass dial with cast pewter spandrels, engraved chapter ring, calendar aperture, and plaque lettered with the maker's name, all centering a compass star, with thirty-hour brass weight-driven pull-up movement, the waist with tombstone door and base with applied molding on ball feet, (imperfections), ht. 88 1/2 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 two small pieces of loose molding need reattaching, back two feet replaced, old dry surface, clock has not run for decades.
