Cherry and Mahogany Veneer Bow-front Chest of Drawers, possibly Spooner and Fitts, Athol, Massachusetts, c. 1810, the top with ovolo corners above a case of four cockbeaded crossbanded drawers flanked by quarter-engaged columns above turned legs joined by a valanced skirt centering an oval figured veneer panel, ht. 40, wd. 43, dp. 22 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 brasses replaced, shrinkage cracks to sides and top; top refinished, finish on case and sides older, minor veneer cracking and lifting.
